Inner Secrets Sessions
Beginning on Day 3 and concluding on Day 11 I will run a one hour session each morning. It explores my Box of Inner Secrets – how and why it works – and concludes with a group tapping. The purpose of these sessions is to inform and empower you to peel away the layers of unproductive emotional responses to enable you to unlock your most powerful self and become clear about how you want to live your life. Being in a supportive environment and away from the busyness of your daily life, it is a wonderful time to focus on you and release old patterns and hurts that are no longer serving you. The Resolution and Empowering Tapping Scripts are gentle yet powerful in enabling your brain to disconnect from the hamster wheel of repeating thoughts and themes that limit and restrict your interpretations, motivations and choices each day. I will help you gain the most out of your use of the Box of Inner Secrets and highly recommend you bring your copy with you. There will be time for you to reflect and dive deeper into your inner world to fully release aspects of your life you no longer wish to support.

Create Your Greatness
I will run three one and a half hour sessions on Days 4, 7 and 10. These are filled with activities and opportunities for self-reflection to assist you in identifying who you really are, what matters most to you and how you can express more of all of that in your daily life. Each session will have at least one group tapping, if not two.

The transformation possible from all sessions includes:

  • Resolving fears related to worth, respect, support, safety, security, belonging, approval and being loved, accepted and important
  • Freeing yourself from your limitations
  • Identifying your true self and asking you to commit to honoring it
  • An invitation to allow yourself to shine

At Tsemo Temple, which overlooks Leh and houses powerful deities, you will undergo the first initiatory experience of your trip – participating in a monastic protection ritual, in an environment of trust that will allow you to overcome your fears and suffering.

In the afternoon, your guide will take you to meet an amchi, doctor of Tibetan medicine, for a holistic consultation. There you will discover the benefits of this 2,500-year-old science, which restores mental and physical balance via natural remedies.

You will then visit the family home of Tashi; Omalaya Travel’s co founder, where you will stay for lunch.
This lunch will be enjoyed with the family and will provide an opportunity for sharing and discussion.

Then, you will learn how to print Tibetan prayer flags. Tashi’s father, a veteran artist, uses a unique printing block that has been passed down through the generations. Later, you will be invited to hang the flags in the wind as offerings for the happiness of all beings.

Day 6

Tuesday 21th of July 2020

Thiksey. Choglamsar.

You will start your day with a ‘Leonie’s Inner Secrets’ session.

Thereafter, you will visit Thiksey Monastery which is perched on a rock-strewn hill and resembles the Potala in the Tibetan capital Lhasa. The monastery houses a huge statue of the Maitreya Buddha, the purity of whose gaze invites reflection and silent meditation. This majestically perched monastic complex dominates the Indus River and houses an impressive statue of the future Buddha.

Thiksey monastery

In the afternoon, a tsa-tsa making workshop will be arranged for you. Tsa-tsa is a sacred form of Tibetan Buddhist art, using various materials such as hydrostone, plaster or clay, into which a holy image is imprinted. Performed for hundreds of years as part of a meditation practice, tsa-tsa serves as a blessed object to which the devotees make offerings and pay homage. You will have an opportunity to make your own tsa-tsa with an image that generates a good karma for your personality, be it an image of Tara, Buddha, or other deity.

Once brought home and placed in a protected place, this special souvenir will purify all negative energies and will nostalgically remind you of your Indo-Tibetan adventure.

Day 7

Wednesday 22nd of July 2020

Leh.

You will start your day with a session with Leonie.

Then you will attend the Dak Thok festival. Sometimes called Takthog, this event takes place in a pair of cave-shrines where, in the 8th century, Guru Padmasambhava used to meditate. During the festival, the place is filled by Lamas and monks dancing, acting and singing to give life to spiritual scenes from religious texts. All these demonstrations are highlighted by the music and sounds of traditional instruments.

Day 8

Thursday 23rd of July 2020

Alchi. Timosgam.

After your Leonie’s Inner Secret session, you will visit the site of Alchi, a gem along the Indus River. One of the most revered rivers of India, the Indus has its source in Mount Kailash, Tibet. The oasis of Alchi, one of the oldest sites of Ladakh, is the paramount location for Indo-Tibetan art. Its splendid temples erected in the plain are home to frescoes and sculptures created by artists from Kashmir. Dating from the 12th century, Alchi is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Alchi village

In the afternoon you will explore this lush oasis starting with a walk through the maze of pedestrian streets in the village of Alchi, visiting its hidden temples and the

ancient stupas worshipped by locals. You may be lucky enough to see the orchards of fruit trees lining the riverbanks under the blue sky and sunshine of Ladakh.

Day 9

Friday 24th of July 2020

Lamayuru.

This moment is a highlight of your trip thanks to the exceptional hospitality of the nuns.

Omalaya Travel feels a special connection with the residents of the Tingmosgang nunnery and has for the last several years endeavored to support them through various contributions and projects. The Omalaya Travel team has assisted the nuns with the construction of a new kitchen and provided them with

beds, blankets and warm clothes for the very difficult and long winter seasons.

Afterwards, you will travel back to Leh where you will be free to pursue your own activities. Leonie’s program will follow in the evening.

Day 11

Sunday 26th of July 2020

Timosgam. Leh.

In the morning, you will learn how to make incense with the locals. Incense plays a major role in Tibetan Buddhism. It is said that the Buddha himself developed recipes that were passed down from generation to generation and used as a tool for meditation and healing. Tibetans use incense to re-balance the wind energy, one of the three energies that governs our body and mind. This experience will be an opportunity for you to discover the role and benefits of this tool in improving your health.
