Our group, led by the Omalaya super-team, was really delighted by what we discovered in Ladakh: Amazing mountain and valley landscapes, high-altitude lakes, colourful monasteries clinging to the rocks… But what we will most surely remember are our meetings with Ladakhis and the discovery of their culture and Buddhism. Highlights such as the dinner with Tashi’s family, the transhumance with nomads, the visit by SECMOL [Students’ Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh] and their Tukge songs, will remain engraved on our minds and our hearts. Thank you to Stephanie and Tashi, and thank you to the skillful and dynamic team of drivers for their kindness, availability and the special care given to each of us. For many of us, this journey has made an impact we have never felt before! And it was my 84th group tour.
